We are having all the summertime fun in Neosho. It is so amusing to think back to all the simple childhood events that make the long days of summer seem magical. We have a few summer days left to enjoy so we are making the most of them with sidewalk chalk art and rootbeer floats. Young or old, who can resist? ...
Yes i agree some out side time and Sun shine would bound to help them all. My mom is in the memory hall I know she'd like to go out and would love a float. Great job Neosho👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Please consider taking the West memory hall out as well. They would all benefit from some fresh air too. Including my great grandmother.
We have a great Activity Leader.!!!!!
So sad Nevada Medicalodge does not do all these activities!!!

The Olympics may be delayed for the rest of the world but not at Clay Center! Residents and staff enjoyed a day filled with games and different events on this beautiful summer day. From the lighting of the torch to the variety of games such as Ball toss and fishing .. everyone had a great time! ...
Did you know that Americans consume 90 million pounds of marshmallows a year and its estimated that half of those marshmallows are used to make S'mores. That is over a billion marshmallows!
Neosho residents joined in the consumption of this tasty dessert treat on August 10th - National S'mores Day.
The first known s'mores recipe was published in the Girl Scouts handbook Tramping and Trailing With the Girl Scouts in 1927. The snack was originally called “some mores.”
We know why too! When you have one you definitely want some more! Sticky fingers and happy smiles make it even better!
Congratulations to Jamie Hughes who is Butler's Spotlight for the month. Jamie is a dayshift LPN at the facility. She has been part of Medicalodges family for 5 years. Jamie loves working in geriatrics. Some things about Jamie - she is a color street nail consultant, she enjoys pizza and her favorite colors are black, pink and purple.
Jamie loves to sing and dance all the time... and badly - just for fun!
Jamie says the best thing at the lodge is the residents and her coworkers.
A word of advice to her fellow coworkers: "Be Kind, you don't know everyone's situation."
Thank you Jamie for all you do - we appreciate you! ...
Jamie you are such a beautiful person! I am so grateful to work with you!
Congratulations!! You're awesome!!

Throughout the month of July a few painters at our Neosho location spent the weekends painting 24 concrete blocks. Proving that painting is not for everyone, several called it quits, but these faithful two were more than happy to answer the call for painters whenever it was made. What they painted is a surprise for later... ...
Sunday was National Ice Cream Sandwich Day and Neosho residents celebrated in the best beat-the-heat kinda way. A good ice cream sandwich brings back memories of hot summer days and outside playtime. Nobody can pass up the treat that makes you feel like a kid again...at least not anybody we know! ...
Our friends from Sterling Dental treated residents and staff to a fun afternoon treat - sno cones for everyone! Thanks to Lynn for making the trip to Clay Center to see us outside for a yummy surprise!
Saturday was a bright, sunny day and perfect to celebrate a bright, sunny condiment that tickles the taste buds on National Mustard Day! The dietary department in Neosho joined the fun and served a deep fried treat for lunch; Corn Dogs and Curly Fries. The afternoon was off to a great start with a snack of potato chips and Rebecca's own recipe for Mustard dip. Even though nobody had ever heard of it, everybody who had an adventuresome spirit was delightfully surprised. We are celebrating National Mustard Day the way it was meant to be celebrated! ...
